What should I do during my massage to make the best of it?
Always give feedback to your therapist. Let him/her know if the pressure is too little or too much. Are you too cold or hot?
Be sure to let the therapist know if something makes you uncomfortable or if something he/she is doing is working well for you.
Breathe deep & regular - do not hold your breath.
Consciously go through every body part from head to toe and relax it. Sink all your weight into the table. Your body should be limp with the therapist left to lift the weight. Do not assist.
Allow yourself to release emotions. Often during massage emotions can be triggered. Do not feel embarrassed, if you wish to cry, do so. If you want to laugh, feel free. Our therapists are trained to work through these emotional releases. If you wish to talk about it, rest assured the conversation will remain completely confidential. Please understand however, our therapists are not trained in psychology and are instructed not to give feedback. They are simply prepared to listen.
What should I do after my massage?
Once the session has ended the therapist will allow you to relax and slowly bring yourself back from the relaxed state you are in, dress & get oriented. It might be necessary to wake you by letting you know the session has ended.
Give feedback to your therapist. This will allow some alterations to be made to your next treatment for a more pleasurable experience.
Drink plenty of water.
What do I wear during my massage?
Massage is traditionally done in the nude with towels and sheets covering all "private areas". In many cities, clients are required to wear underwear. However, our therapists are trained in draping techniques to leave all necessary body parts covered. If you are more comfortable with more clothing, feel free to wear what you like. Your therapist will work within your comfort level.
How fast will I start to feel better & is the relief permanent?
Stress / Pain / Tension in the body develops over a period of time. In most cases you will feel relief temporarily. This could mean a few hours to a few days. You will need to discuss with your therapist what type of treatment plan will best work for you.
Knots / Adhesions are muscle fibers or tissues that are no longer receiving oxygen and are not functioning well, if at all. They usually form around an old inflamed injury or overused muscle. They limit flexibility and range of motion. Your therapist will use cross-fiber techniques to help break the "knot" down and bring oxygen & nutrients to the area in efforts to revive these fibers.
What qualifies a Massage Therapist to practice?
There are strict rules & regulations to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. You must complete training with a credited college and pass a board exam. Education includes physiology, anatomy, biomechanics, nutrition and ethics courses. However, requirements change city to city. All therapists are licensed in their area.
Absolutely not! Sensual Massage is very popular in most large cities and is very easy to find. For those who are unfamiliar with it, Sensual Massage is a title used to mask the term "Sex for Sale". It is unfortunate that as trained professionals we are tied into this industry. You will not find anything sexual with our business. Please do not waste your time or ours. Do not offend the therapist with any line of questioning regarding this service. Our therapists will immediately pack up and leave. You will be responsible for the bill.
In the professional massage world we refer to ourselves as "Massage Therapists". This title removes the gender indication from our profession and indicates we are professionals.

Does massage hurt?
A massage treatment should never hurt. Some tolerable discomfort may occur depending on the type of therapy you and your therapist have arranged. Always communicate with your therapist if he/she has passed your threshold for pain. Pain will cause you to tighten up and resist the pressure the therapist is applying. This will not lead to the results you are looking for. Discomfort will not make you resist the pressure. Over time you will develop a relationship with your therapist and a higher threshold to pressure, leading to the long-term results that you are seeking. Just be sure you know the difference between discomfort and pain.
Can I talk during a massage?
To receive best results focusing in on your breathing is very important. Talking will prevent this. However, conversation under no circumstances is restricted. If you feel the need to chat - feel free. Keep in mind that your decision to remain quiet during a massage should not restrict you from asking questions or communicating your needs to your therapist.
